I found some of the answer choices wanting.
12. What do you think happens after you die?
a choice "you decompose" should be offered
15. Views on sex
a choice: "I can have sex with consenting adults when and however i want" should be offered
19. What age is ok to get married
a choice: "Consenting adults age 18 and over" should be offered
I scored 95% Secular with blah, blah, blah about agnostic and atheist

Ex JW's - Which Christian denomination are you with now and why?
by Truthexplorer inthis is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.
the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.
i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.

After debunking the Watchtower, moving on to debunking other "Christian" exegesis, and finally unravelling the grand fairy tale that is the Bible and every other Holy Book and the misogynistic, rapist, murderous gods they all extol, I am now happy worshipping myself. That's freedom. -

1. If you are a JW playing video games on a casual or serious online basis, you are doing so on the "very down low" This is not information you want the congregation to be aware of, as it will generate much judgement and gossip. (i don't even need to elaborate)
2. JW gamers have a separate code of ethics than the gossiping congregation. It is a covert fraternity. Disfellowshipped, disassociated and inactive are not outcast, in fact often times they are embraced.
3. JW gamers are anonymous, and any accusations levied against them are to be met with, "deny, deny, deny"
4. If you give up your covert position, you are by code of ethics not to give up anyone else.
5. There are elders in their 40s that engage in the gaming community with all those mentioned above.
6. The gaming community is not the only underground clique amongst active JWs.
7. The gaming community where active JWs engage with former JWs is not huge. You are talking about 10-20 per circuit.
8. Nearly every online gaming choice of active JWs would be derided by the organization and any given BOE. Thus the reason for the covert nature of the specific gaming groups.
9. Over a 10 year period, I know personally at least a dozen active JW gamers who ultimately left the WT organization and find support with their online gamer community.
The gamer in the opening post and his gamer friends will be fine. They know how to CYA.

Those keenly following umbertoecho ARC Brief Update.
by MightyV8 ini feel it is comfortable to say,.
yes her arc hearing has come and gone.. yes her hearing was so powerful, her allotted time was tripled!.
yes, information handed over "mind blowing" response from arc.

Just because the hearing is over(for WT) does not mean that the ARC is no longer engaging with survivors and their stories. They still have final recommendation to formulate.
This was a great post. Stay strong Umbertoecho.

Sexual abuse files are handled differently and despite the letters from the BOE specifically in response to the UK Data Protection Act being applied by the ExJW community to sexual abuse cases within the WT, it is not the case.
This was from a related post:
"UK has a data protection law. JW's complied with it.
Since 2000/2001 all congregation judicial records (envelopes) EXCEPT child molestation cases are to be destroyed by the service committee and replaced with a file which lists:
Name of 3 elders on case/date/name of individual/ and reproved or DFD/DA'd in file. No details kept.
Child molestation cases are sent to the branch in its entirety and a separate child protection file is kept by the secretary with basic details of the case. Accessible to ALL elders.
Every year the elders get a reminder to do an audit with the checklist shown. It is the service committee's responsibility to do it. Ongoing child molestation cases are not destroyed but sent to the branch and basic details are kept in the congregation child protection file. Each elder must destroy anything he "inadvertently" kept such as his personal notes from any judicial matter he dealt with.""UK elders are not specifically required to destroy or keep anything by law.
Any data they keep has to comply to the Data Protection Act about how it is obtained, for what purpose and how long it is kept for. An individual can make an information request at any time to see the data held about them The recent audit letter and the letter posed by WiFiBandit above demonstrate that the WTS is very prescriptive in ensuring the minimum data is kept, for (I repeat) two key reasons:
1 - to prevent elders keeping data that either does not comply with the DPA or data that could be used in a civil case by someone wishing to bring a case against a congregation on the basis of information held about them.
2 - to keep to a minimum data that could be used by the authorities against the organisation.
Point 1 is because elders are often idiots and careless about what they write down and keep hold of.
Point 2 is because the WTS has a persecution complex and imagines they are going to be oppressed at some point.
It's a matter of opinion but asking elders to audit their records against the published benchmarks is...not quite the same as getting them to destroy evidence or cover things up. If they have no legal obligation to hold the data then they cannot be accused of destroying evidence. When it comes to child abuse, the processes are clear about what should be held. This is so some measure of "due diligence" and "duty of care" can be demonstrated rather than adherence to any legal obligation is concerned.
They can, however, be asked to explain how such instructions really tally with an open, transparent and progressive organisation, especially when it comes to child abuse. The instructions can be compared with other organisations to illustrate the predictably huge gap between the WTS' claims of being leaders in child abuse management and the reality of what is best practice in the vast majority of similar organisations."posted by konceptual99

Should doctors tell JW patients that there is disagreement about Watchtower's blood policy.
by Lee Elder inthis has been a controversial issue among doctors and medical ethicists.
i think it basically comes down to the fact that physicians have a responsibility to establish the presence of informed consent.
is it really possible for a person to give informed consent if they are not accurately informed?.

On the Yearbook's Report(Again)
by Alex Bryant inhello.
i have a question about the number of publishers reported on the yearbook.
i was wondering if this number refers only to the number of publishers baptized or to the overall number of publisher(baptized & not baptized).

Right. Lots of DFd attend. And they are still baptised JWs.
